This Privacy Policy explains how duit.AI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when using our app and website.

1. Information We Collect

duit.AI collects and stores limited personal data for app functionality. Specifically, your email address, user ID, and optional userName are stored securely in Firestore when you sign in using Apple ID. All financial data and backups (CSV and MMBak format) remain local on your device or iCloud Drive (if enabled).

2. How We Use Your Information

To deliver and maintain services.
To customize the financial dashboard and insights.
To notify you of updates or service issues.
To analyze usage patterns and improve user experience.
To enable sign-in functionality using Apple ID.
To create and manage optional local backups (e.g., CSV or MMBak).

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

duit.AI does not share any user data with third parties. While email address, user ID, and userName are stored in Firestore for app functionality, no data is shared externally. We also do not use analytics tools, advertising networks, or third-party cloud storage for personal or financial data.

4. Data Security

All data remains on your device. While we do not collect your information, we still encourage users to use device-level security features (such as Face ID, Touch ID, or passcodes) to protect sensitive information stored locally.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Within the duit.AI app, you can delete your profile directly from the settings menu. When deleted:

Your personal data (email, user ID, and username) will be permanently deleted from our database (Firestore).
Any shared expense data you participated in will remain visible to others, but your identity will be anonymized (replaced with a generic user ID).

6. Children's Privacy

duit.AI does not knowingly collect data from users under 13 years old. If you believe we have, please contact us immediately.

7. Policy Updates

This policy may be revised periodically. We will notify you via app alerts or email if significant changes are made. If we begin collecting data in future versions, this policy will be updated accordingly and users will be notified within the app.
